The shape of the architecture naturally blends into the landscape with a big sloped roof. Keelung is a very rainy and mountainous city. The humidity and the environment is the main design challenge in terms of providing a functional fire station and at the same time providing a sustainable public space for general public who would take this steep path to the public park up on the hill.
